Welcome to my online yoga space where you can find info on the weekly classes I run in Hastings and online, seasonal workshops and a variety of inspiration for your yoga practice and wellbeing.
The weekly classes offer a space for you to come and develop your yoga in a warm and open atmosphere. A regular time and place to connect to yourself, to move the body and feel into the breath can have a wonderful ripple effect on the rest of your day….and life! Each month we will explore different themes with an emphasis on moving with the breath. Through yoga asana, pranayama and relaxation we can ease tension, build strength and gain flexibility in both body and mind. Creating that perfect balance between relaxation and effort that leaves you feeling calm and energised.
Ellie began her journey with yoga in 2001 at a local Vini Yoga class where she discovered practising yoga offered health benefits on many levels. In particular she found that working mindfully with the breath was transformative, both physically and mentally.
Since then Ellie has practiced with many wonderful teachers and draws on several traditions in her teaching including Iyengar, Vini yoga, Scaravelli, Hatha and Anusara as well as bringing in some of her experience with Zen and Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and Philosophy. In 2015 Ellie completed the 500hr BWY Teacher Training with Rosie Wright and has taught in and around London and is now based in Hastings. Ellie also has an interest in yoga practices that soothe anxiety and depression and completed a course with Yoga Therapist Lisa Kayley Isley and more recently with Dr Kristen Neff on Self Compassion.
